How to add music to smart phone?

I am hopefully getting the Samsung OMNIA for Christmas and a big part of me investing in a smart phone is the ability for playing MP3’s. I have an Apple laptop and have all my music on my iTunes. Is there a way i convert my music on my laptop to a different media player then upload it to the phone? PLEASE HELP. Thanks.
