can i sign up with another 2 year contract even though my contract isn’t up yet?

i got my phone last july from sprint and signed up for a 2 year contract. it has almost been a year. and the palm pre is coming out and i want this phone ALOT. and i want to get the 2 year agreement discount. is there someway i can cancel my other contract and sign up with a 2 year contract with the palm pre? id rather not have to pay the full retail price for the phone. the rebates are enough lol
